Our Policies *Time - For clients requiring services within a certain timeframe; please note that Prompt Proofing operates in the Pacific Time Zone (three hours behind Eastern Time). Time is calculated from the time we receive the uploaded document and full (cleared) payment. This applies to all documents received between 6am and 6pm Pacific Time. - Documents and press release requests that are received between 6pm and 6am Pacific Time will be treated as if they arrived at 6am and those requesting a 12-hour return period will therefore be delivered by 6pm - those requesting 24 hours by 6am the next day and so on. Payment - All prices are in US dollars. - Payment may be made in your local currency; PayPal will automatically convert this to USD. - Documents will not be returned until cleared payment has been received and, for first-time customers, we must receive payment before we will begin work on your document, and therefore we must receive payment before we will start the clock on your document's turnaround time. - Payments are made through PayPal, either with your PayPal account or by credit card. Please note that, while e-cheques are accepted, documents will not be returned until the cheque has cleared. Press Release and Content Writing - Each press release and document written by Prompt Proofing will be unique and specific to the client requesting it. - Information in press releases and content created by Prompt Proofing is based on details provided by the client. - Prompt Proofing does not do drafts and content will not be revised or re-written after they have been returned unless there is an error on our part in the information regarding your company. - Prompt Proofing will write in Canadian, US or British English, as requested by the client. - Prompt Proofing does not distribute press releases. - Prompt Proofing reserves the right to refuse any press release or writing requests that may refer to items of an abusive or immoral nature. Academic writing / proofreading - Please note that Prompt Proofing cannot offer editing for academic papers, only proofreading. This means we will correct grammar, spelling and punctuation errors and typos, however, we cannot alter content in any way and will not support any requests for re-writing essays or dissertations which might constitute plagiarism. - We have a minimum charge of $10 per order, even if your document is shorter. Prompt Proofing can proofread using Canadian, US or British English, as required. - The client will receive three copies of their document in each of two formats; Word and PDF. In Word, there will be two copies - one showing changes and one that is print-ready. The PDF version will be print-ready. In the event of any dispute, Prompt Proofing will refer to the PDF version, as this cannot be changed by the client and therefore will reflect the originally returned version of the paper.
